The Batumi Grafikart Festival

Batumi 2013
Guela Tsouladze and his company Dot Comma created the first graphic arts festival in Georgia, supported by the country's Ministry of Culture. The gallery therefore invited five French artists – Amandine Urruty, Alëxone, Nicolas Barrome, Tyrsa, Franck Pellegrino – to paint large frescoes alongside five Georgian artists – Gogi & Dante, Luna Nine, Dr Love, Tamoonz – as part of the magnificent Batumi Contemporary Art Gallery, located on Miracle Park Square, facing the Black Sea.

For five days, the artists produced frescoes on panels inside and outside the gallery. The stay ended with a visit to Tbilisi, the Georgian capital. It was then Niaz Diasamidze, leader and singer of the music group 33A, who welcomed us with open arms, to create frescoes on the walls of the famous Club 33A concert hall.
